Wal-Mart Grant!

I found out today that we just received a $1000.00 grant from the Walmart Foundation for the Crossville Skatepark Association. This grant is for programs and equipment for education and skating. Yeah! Thanks WalMart and Christie Mathis.

No meeting today, May 20th. We've got a few more grants in the works though with Goody's, Burger King and Krogers. We still need to raise a bit more to be able to open the park this summer. Stay tuned.

Sorry I have not sent anything out in the last few weeks on the skatepark. I've been waiting for more grant money to come in and have been out of town. We've currently got enough money in the bank $2500 to build some ramps, but are trying to decide if we should save it to build some better stuff or build some small stuff now. What do you think?

Also, I wanted to find out if your mom or dad might be interested in helping out with the skatepark. Would you ask them for me? Any kind of help would be appreciated.

Will try to send out an email this week letting everyone know what is going on.
